Breadworld.com Publishes 500th Bread Recipe
Fleischmann's Yeast announced it has published the 500th bread recipe on its U.S. recipe Web site, www.breadworld.com. It has taken Fleischmann's Yeast eight years to amass the 500 recipes; each one has been certified by the professionals in the Test Kitchens of Fleischmann's Yeast. It is now one of the largest public databases of test-kitchen-tested bread recipes.
"Fleischmann's Yeast was a pioneer in American recipe publishing in the 1800s," said Keith R. Dierberg, consumer marketing manager, Fleischmann's Yeast. "In 1877, we were among the first companies to publish a free cookbook. Today, the Internet makes it possible for us to publish our 500 best recipes in a free, searchable database. It is, by far, our largest single collection of recipes in our 136-year history, and one of the world's largest collections of test-kitchen-tested bread recipes. Day in and day out, it's the most important thing we do to strengthen the American tradition of home-baked bread."
Published and maintained by Fleischmann's Yeast, www.breadworld.com is a recipe site with sections on loaves; cookies, and pastries; holiday and specialty breads; coffee cakes; pizzas and calzones; rolls and buns; and special diet recipes, such as low-salt recipes and gluten-free recipes. The site offers recipes for sourdough breads and artisan-hearth breads. Recipes for beginner bakers and children are included, too. In addition, www.breadworld.com offers comprehensive baking instructions, tips and troubleshooting.
