The Cooper Institute Launches More Than Fifteen New Courses

On-Site and Online Classes Available, Including Those Specific to Healthcare Professionals

In their recently released Hot Jobs For The 21st Century report, the United States Department of Labor declared fitness training and instructing the hottest up-and-coming employment field, predicting that employment of fitness trainers and instructors will grow by a whopping 24 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all other occupations. The Cooper Institute, a nonprofit dedicated worldwide to preventive medicine research and education is responding to this need with the release of sixteen new courses. The courses, designed for health and fitness professionals, health enthusiasts and healthcare professionals include:

  • Dietary Recommendations for Lasting Weight Loss (For Healthcare Professionals Only)
  • Physical Activity Recommendations for Lasting Weight Loss (For Healthcare Professionals Only)
  • Five Key Weight Loss Conversations with Your Patients (For Healthcare Professionals Only)
  • Weight Management Essentials (For Healthcare Professionals Only)

Courses vary in duration, from a few hours to a few days, and price, and are led by an internationally-recognized team of instructors. The instructors maximize student understanding and comprehension of health and fitness concepts through technology-based classroom instruction and practical sessions. Courses for the healthcare professional are enduring, online education sponsored by the American Heart Association for CME/CE credit.
