Intersil Demonstrates Innovative New Sensor Signal Conditioning Solution With Renesas Electronics at Embedded World 2013 in Germany
Intersil's Low Noise, Low Power Precision Amps, 24-Bit ADCs, Voltage Regulator, Combine With Renesas' Low Power MCU to Deliver Advanced Sensor Front End for Measuring Small Signals
Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog, mixed-signal and power management semiconductors, has joined with Renesas Electronics Corporation to develop a sensor signal conditioning solution for thermocouple, pressure and strain gauges. The companies will demonstrate the new solution, which is being distributed through Avnet Memec, at Embedded World February 26-28 in Nuremberg, Germany.
The pressure and strain gauge sensor signal conditioning designs use a combination of Intersil analog front ends coupled with a Renesas RL78/G13 microcontroller for extracting small sensor signals. Gain, filter, and digital conversion are completed then delivered to the RL78 MCU for further digital processing.
